HNJ 600300 - Land Rover Series Gearbox/Overdrive Mainshaft Nut Tool
HNJ Engineering brings you a re-manufactured equivalent of Land Rover Special Tool 600300.
This tool is used for tightening up the Castle Nut on the end of the gearbox output shaft to a torque of 85lbf.ft. (Torque figure courtesy of the Land Rover Green Bible).
These tools are manufactured from EN24 Steel in small batches using CNC (Computer Numerical Control) methods in the UK. EN24 Steel gives the tool high tensile strength, shock resistance, good ductility and resistance to wear. This part is clear zinc passivated for added corrision resistance.
This tool is designed to accept a 1/2" drive wrench or a 30mm AF socket/spanner.
HNJ Engineering strongly recommends you use this tool with a new geninue Land Rover Mainshaft lock nut (Land Rover Part No: 217477). This is to ensure optimum engagement of the teeth on the tool and the mainshaft lock nut; it is not uncommon to find mainshaft lock nuts that have been tightened using hammer and chisel.
Note: This tool is designed for use with Land Rover Part Number: 217477 ( Land Rover Mainshaft Lock Nut).
